After the achievement of the target of distribution of 1 crore gas connections across the nation under PM Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), the Central Government has temporarily halted the oil marketing companies for the further release of new connections.
About 2,25,000 families have been identified from Karnataka for the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), under which LPG gas connections are provided to the poor families of the nation.
The transparent LPG cylinders are likely to be started in Telangana state in the current financial year 2017-18 to check pilferage. In order to do marketing in Hyderabad, plans are being devised by the oil marketing companies (OMCs) and Ranga Reddy districts first as a pilot project before extending the scheme to other areas.
Under Government’s ambitious scheme Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), the survey of the people who uses using coal as a fuel will be run in the city to provide gas connections. The executive employees of the corporation, community members and the members of women’s self-help groups have imposed duty by the municipal commissioner Ajay Kumar. On Wednesday, they were provided all the necessary documents and forms of work with training.
The Pradhan Mantri Ujjwaja Yojana (PMUY) has been pushed by the Petroleum minister Dharmendra Pradhan in relatively poor states like UP, Bihar, West Bengal and Odisha. His push has meant maximum enrolment in UP since the scheme was launched by PM in May last year from Ballia.
On Monday, free LPG gas connections have been distributed to 78 women of Hurlung Panchayat under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY). Women were added in PM Ujjwala Yojana led by Panchayat Samiti member Sumitra Devi. Women were happy by taking the benefit of the scheme which prevents them from the disease caused by pollution of hearth. Ranjit Kumar, Vimal Karmakar, Kashi Nath Mahato, Jhuntu Karmakar, Yogendra Karmakar, Mahadev Karmakar, Suraj Lohar were present during this occasion.
In order to provide gas connections to the people under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, about 960 forms have been filled by the people of different villages on the behalf of Depurki Gas Agency. Agency Director Dilbag Singh Baghi informed that the conditions which have been laid in front of people by the government for getting the benefits of PM Ujjwala Yojana. About 960 people have filled the application form by fulfilling the conditions. Dilbag Bagi informed that the work will continue in the future by the directions of the government.
