Govt Launched PM Ujjwala Yojana in Belagavi, Karnataka

PM Ujjwala Yojana – Suresh Angadi, the Lok Sabha member of Belagavi, Karnataka has launched the central government’s ambitious scheme Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) under which the LPG gas cylinder and stove are provided to the women of poor BPL families in Belagavi.

Details of PM Ujjwala Yojana

Prabhakar Kore, the Rajya Sabha member informed that that about 35,000 eligible families would be provided the LPG gas connections by the current year. Of these, about 15,000 housing units will be constructed in Belagavi city alone. He informed that the other poor families in the district will get the connection in the coming years.

Prabhakar Kore stated that owning an LPG connection was a matter of luxury and the poor could not dream of it. He further said that in my earlier days as a Rajya Sabha member one of the most important tasks that I worked on was to help common man get LPG connection.
