Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana Telangana – The Central Government of India is going to launch the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) on 14th April in Telangana. Under the Ujjwala Yojana, the government will provide free LPG gas connections to the eligible people of the state. The Hon’ble Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will inaugurate the Ujjwala Yojana in Suryapet Telangana. On the launching program, about 1000 gas connections will be provided to the eligible women of the state.

Details of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana Telangana (PMUY)

PMUY Telangana will be launched on 14 April 2018 in Suryapet in Telangana
PMUY Telangana will be implemented by 3 public sector oil marketing companies IOC, BPCL and HPCL across the state
Under this scheme, these companies are targeting to distribute a total number of 2-3 lakh gas connections
The utilization of LPG gas is high in Telangana and the state has already Deepam Scheme for LPG connections
In Telangana, there is a total demand of 20 Lakh Gas connections
Currently, there are about 94.36 lakh LPG gas connection holders in Telangana

EMI Options For Buying Stove and Gas Cylinder Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana Telangana

Under the PMUY Telangana, EMI options are also available for buying gas stove and first gas cylinder or gas refill
For this, the EMI will be deducted from the LPG subsidy amount credited to the bank account of the consumer /gas connection holder
Apart from this, the first EMI installment deduction will start from the supply of 7th refill cylinder

Financial Assistance under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana Telangana

Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, the Central Government provides a cash assistance of Rs. 1,600 per connection to oil & gas companies (OMCs)
This assistance covers the security deposit of the cylinder and pressure regulator as well as installation/demonstration charges along with the blue (DGCC) booklet
Installation and demonstration charges will be borne by the LPG dealer
